My Biggest Fears

I couldn't sleep today. And I forgot to make today's post so figured since I was awake and remembered, I'd pop in and get it done. Today's post is about what fears I have.

SPIDERS

I'm scared of every spider in the world except for Jumping Spiders and Tarantulas.

Not sure why except for the fact two bad things happened to me. When I was a teenager I lived in a house that was one story and we had the inside ceiling of the porch covered in Wolf Spiders and every time I walked out the door to leave it seemed like they watched and followed me. It freaked me out really bad.

The second time I was in my late 30s and was out on the back deck and decided to turn around because I heard clicking. Above the door was a gigantic hard shelled spider with fangs the size of a dog's canines. To say I was going to go back inside with that thing clicking along the door jam as big as it was (It made a saucer look like a tiny tea party set plate) was a wrong assumption. I went down the stairs and went in the front door. It was a long time before I'd go back out on the deck a dusk.

HEIGHTS

I'm deathly afraid of being any higher than my knee caps. I don't go above the second rung of a ladder and if I climb a step stool or stand in a chair I have to have something to hang on to.
You ask why?
Train trestle over a gorge when I was about 10 or 11. My dad took us all out for a Sunday drive and ended up at a gorge. He held the back of my shirt and asked me to tell him what I saw. All I saw was a deep canyon and the bottom seemed to be rushing up at me. Since then I don't do heights. I was sick the rest of the day from that episode.

DEAD SILENCE

I have to have some type of noise at all times, whether it's traffic outside, nature sounds, music or the tv.
At night my tv stays on or I listen to music/nature sounds on my phone.
I am not sure why this fear came about.
If there is silence I feel like the world is not there. That I'm the only human being on earth. Silence can't last for more than 5 minutes or I go into total panic and start thinking the worse has happened.
It's a primal fear. Not a learned fear.

CROWDS

I have PTSD, and I have Social Anxiety Disorder so when I'm in a small area and there is more than 3 or 4 people I start feeling like I need to run. I can't breath and I get antsy and have to excuse myself. This happens even around friends and family. It's really hard for me to go shopping on days where the store is really busy. I can't cash out fast enough and no one actually understands how bad it gets.
To be honest, if I didn't have to leave my house for anything, I wouldn't!
My personal bubble is huge. I don't like anyone standing behind me closer than 10 feet which makes standing at the checkout a real nightmare!

There is 4 of my biggest fears

Do you have any fears and if so what are they and how did you get them?

Ways To Win My Heart

Image by Susanne Jutzeler, Schweiz, from Pixabay

This prompt made me giggle. I had what my husband would say in my head.

"Yeah, give her coffee, psp and her babies and she's happier than a kid in a candy store."
The thing is, he is correct in a very simple way.

However there's more to me than coffee, psp and my purries that win my heart over. So let's take a look shall we?

  • Compliment me truthfully.
  • Gift me once in a while with journals, pens, markers, or anything to journal with really.
  • Suprise me with a tube or scrapkit from one of my favorite digital designers/artists.
  • Make me coffee on a whim.
  • Hug/snuggle/cuddle me.
  • Understand and respect that my purries come first and foremost.
  • Go to church with me randomly even if it's just one time.
  • Be honest and loyal. Lying, Cheating and Stealing will cause me to throw you from my life forever.
  • Flowers - Not just any flowers: you have to get to know me.
  • Know my favorite foods.
  • Spend time with me, not just phone calls and texts. Actual physical time with me.
  • Pickles! Yes, I love all things pickles but it has to be dill!

So those are the basic main things that come to mind. I'm sure there's a lot more to list.

What is something someone can do (or say), to win your heart?

Favorite Things

As I sit here trying to figure out how to write this out the song popped into my head:

A Few of My Favorite Things

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things
Cream colored ponies and crisp apple strudels
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things
Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into springs
These are a few of my favorite things
When the dog bites, when the bee stings
When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don't feel so bad

Okay so here we go with this list that makes me cringe just having to "List things".
  1. Coffee
  2. My purries
  3. A crochet afghan my mom made (a lap blanket)
  4. Husbands chuckle when he knows he's been caught at a harmless fib
  5. A coffee cup that says "Best Cat Mom"
  6. Leggings and Sweatpants
  7. Chromebook & Desktop Computers
  8. Purry kisses
  9. Headbutts from my giant purry named Porkchop
  10. Rascal's chatters (he will constantly chatter talk to me if I ask him questions)
  11. Horror movies
  12. My sweaters and hoodies
  13. Hugs from my adopted mom "Suzanne"
  14. My mom's Bible
  15. Mint KitKats
  16. My comforter (It's super soft)
  17. Purrs from the purries (they all constantly purr)
  18. My journal books
  19. Twizzler Pull N Peels
  20. Watching the snow fall although I don't like the cold!

So there's 20 things. There's probably 20+ more but those are the top ones.

What are a few of your favorite things?

Okay if you don't want to tell, then at least sing the song with me!

I'm off to finish getting the laptop up to par with everything I need on it so I can sit back and create in PaintShop Pro. I'll probably journal as well just before passing out. I also received a book from the Methodist Pastor today to read. The last one he gave me I read in only a couple of hours. I don't see this one being any different.

Have a great morning, afternoon or evening!

My Handwriting

Yeah, it's stuff like this that makes me cringe!

I always admire other people's handwriting and wish I had anyone's but my own most days.

It's not ilegible, just doesn't seem like its really mine when I look at it.

But there it is.

Sometimes I hate my writing and other days I love it!

My Favorite Quote

6,230 Tomorrow Stock Vector Illustration and Royalty Free Tomorrow Clipart

Day two Blogging Challenge Prompt!

I grew up hearing my father say "Jeannie, today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday." It was his answer to anything I was really worried about that I had no control over. I never knew who originally said it until this morning. I was being nostalgic about my childhood and decided to see if my father made it up or not. He didn't!

Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday.

- Dale Carnegie

I think it's safe to say that each day we have worries, concerns. I know most of what I worry about is beyond my control and I have to let it go. Easier said than done! But it does help to soothe to remember that the little things don't matter.

Keeping things simple, remembering if it wont matter tomorrow or next week then "It" doesn't matter at all. If it can't be changed, then move on. I can only be the best person I can be, showing love, patience, joy, humility, and thankfulness. That's what really matters.

What we do, feel, think, say affects others in our daily life, if we don't worry about tomorrow and just remember to focus on the now moments, life could be so much better.

I hope you find your now moments to enjoy, and not worry about tomorrow. Tomorrow has enough of it's own problems!

Have a great Saturday and I'll be back tomorrow!

Meaning Behind the Blog Name

Image by Ryan McGuire from Pixabay

You may be wanting to know what the meaning is behind my blog name.

It wasn't easy choosing a name. I didn't want something that said everything all at once. I didn't want a name that people expected from me. I did want a name that expressed what this blog actually is.

When a person blogs a personal blog, each post is a glimpse of smaller pictures. You don't get the entire "big" picture. And personal posts aren't exactly full disclosures. They are bits and pieces of what the blogger chooses to share. It's like having a book with every other sentence missing if you think about it.

You only get little bits of this

or

little bits of that.

Because I choose what I post, the topic, the content and how much is revealed you don't get bits of this and that. Only bits of "This".

There you have it.

Lil' Bits of This - Becuase I choose what and how much information. Always bits of this and never bites of that.

What is your blog's name and why did you choose it?
